About Me

Hello I’m Susan Collins.

You can meet me in the introduction video on the Home page during which you’ll no doubt notice that I am now somewhat grey, or even white, haired….it simply means I’m not as young as I used to be!!

Anyway, I digress…….Who am I? I am a female human being who also carries labels such as Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Friend, Cousin, Niece and at one time was also Daughter. In addition, and across the years, I’ve also been labelled Pupil, Brownie, Girl Guide, Accounts Clerk, Administrator, Secretary, Management PA, Samaritan, Cook/Housekeeper and Higher Ed Student; and now Counsellor, Life Coach and Complementary Therapist. So, I’ve a lot of life experience on which to call.

Ageing, or maturing, was also the cause of the change of my direction in life. After four redundancies (3 in quick succession) I chose to learn how to ‘do’ Therapeutic Body Massage. Not long after this, and during a period when I volunteered with Samaritans, a friend introduced me to Reiki and my life was transformed! Since those days, I’ve discovered so much more about life, therapy and wellbeing.

It struck me that I’d discovered what made me happiest; not necessarily the therapies on their own… no… but being able to use them in Service to others helping them to focus on and develop their own well-being. Take a look at Client Reviews at https://www.peacefulsoul.uk/reviews/

A couple of years further on and I returned to Higher Education and as a mature student I studied for, and achieved, a BA (Hons) Degree in Counselling Studies.

Since then I’ve continued with continuing professional development in order that I can offer clients ‘more. I’ve studied Mindfulness, Hot Stone Massage, Holistic Face Massage and Ear Candling and have also increased my use of Life Coaching skills. In addition, I’m currently working toward completing my qualification in EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques, sometimes referred to as Tapping).

Most recently, my husband and I (he is Welsh) moved home from North Lincolnshire on the east coast of England to Powys in Mid Wales. This is a wonderful new adventure for both of us and carries with it the excitement of an unknown and unfolding part of our life together.

I’m thrilled to announce that I have secured a wonderful setting from which to offer you your chosen therapy. I shall be operating out of the Complementary Health Centre within Rock Park & Spa, Llandrindod Wells
